He holds a degree in Geology from the Federal University of Pará (1990), a Masters in Geology and Geochemistry (sedimentology) from the Federal University of Pará (1994) and a PhD in Geosciences (Sedimentary Geology) from the University of São Paulo (2003). CNPq productivity fellow 1C. He was a professor at Federal University of Amazonas from 1994 to 2006 and is currently an Associate Professor at the Federal University of Pará and leader of the Amazonian Sedimentary Basin Analysis Group (GSED). He was coordinator of the UFPA Human Resources Program (PRH06) of the National Agency of Petroleum (ANP) between 2014 and 2018. He is currently coordinator of the Graduation Program in Geology and Geochemistry of UFPA (Level 6 CAPES). He has experience in the area of Geosciences, with emphasis on Stratigraphy, working mainly on the following subjects: Precambrian depositional systems, Carbonate layers and climate extremes (snowball Earth), Precambrian and Eurasian Oil systems, Meso-Cenozoic historical geology Amazon.

He is graduated in Geology from Federal University of Pará (2003) and master in the Graduate Course of Geology and Geochemistry from Federal University of Pará (2005). He concluded his doctorate at the Mineralogy and Petrology Graduate Program of the University of São Paulo (2009). He was Assistant Professor 1 in the Geology Faculty of Marabá (UFPA) between 03/2010 and 12/2011. Currently, he is Assistant Professor IV in Geology Faculty of the Geoscience Institute of UFPA. He has experience in the area of Geoscience, with emphasis in Petrology, Metalogenesis and Metamorphism, acting, mainly in the study of Paleoproterozoic volcanism of Amazonian Craton and Archean Units of universal edict of CNPq, aimed at the metallogenetic potential of volcano, paleoproterozoic plutonism of São Félix do Xingu, Mineral Province of Tapajós and Santana do Araguaia regions, state of Pará.

Nils Asp is an Oceanographer, graduated in 1996 from FURG, with a Masters in Marine Geology from PPGGeo / UFRGS (1999) and doctorate in Coastal Geology from the University of Kiel (Germany) (2004). Between 2004 and 2005 he held Phd studies at UNIVALI with a focus on Coastal Geomorphology. He is currently an Associate Professor at the Federal University of Pará - UFPA, where he has been working in undergraduate, graduate and research education, since 2005. Nils Asp also works in collaboration with several researchers and institutions from Brazil and abroad in several projects, which have resulted in several publications in periodicals and dozens of works in events. He works in the areas of Physical and Geological Oceanography, Geology and Coastal / Marine Geomorphology. In 2014 he was elected as an affiliate member (2014-2018) of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences - ABC

Pedro Walfir M. Souza Filho concluded his graduation in geology at Federal University of Pará - UFPA (1993) and specialization in marine geology and geophysics at the Universidade Federal Fluminense (1993). He completed his master's degree (1995) and his doctorate (2000) by UFPA in the area of marine geology and geological remote sensing, respectively. He is a Full Professor at the Institute of Geosciences of the Federal University of Pará, where he has been working since 2002 and is a Senior Researcher at the VALE Technological Institute for Sustainable Development. His main interests in research are: origin and evolution of coastal environments, environmental geology and changes in land use and land cover at mining areas. He is a Researcher 1C of CNPq and Affiliated Member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences for the period of 2008-2012. He is currently coordinator of the Oceanography Committee of CNPq.

He is currently a Full Professor at the Federal University of Pará. He has experience in geosciences, with emphasis on geology, working mainly in geochronology (U-Th-Pb, Sm-Nd, Rb-Sr) of Neoproterozoic and Paleoproterozoic of the Tocantins and Borborema provinces. His scientific activity also extends to the use of isotopic geology in studies of sedimentary provenance of neoproterozoic belts and of Paleozoic successions of intracratonic basins. Additionally, he uses isotope geology in the study of natural waters.

He was a contributing professor at the Federal University of Pará from 1976 to 1978, adjunct professor IV from 1982 to 2006, associate professor IV of the same University until 2015, and, since then, Professor of the Institute of Geosciences. He was director of the Geoscience Institute of 1999/2000 and is as professor-mentor of the Graduate Program in Geology and Geochemistry of UFPA. He was coordinator of this Graduate Program from 1987 to 1989 and from 12/2009 to 05/2012, as well as vice-coordinator from 2012 to 2014. He is a full member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences - ABC and curator of the Museum of Geosciences of UFPA . He edits the Bulletin BOMGEAM - Bulletin of the Museum of Geosciences of UFPA. His research activities are centered on Mineralogy and Geochemistry applied to the tropical weathering of rocks (soils, lateriitization and associated mineral deposits), historical monuments, archaeological sites with emphasis on TPA and associated ceramic material, as well as the study of gem and quaternary deposits. He is leader of the CNPQ Research Group "Minealogy and Applied Geochemistry - GMGA"

He received his undergraduate and master's degree in geology from the Federal University of Pará (UFPA), where he has been a professor since 1984, and was the head of the Isotope Geology Laboratory. Doctorate in Geochronology from the University of Montpellier II (France, 1992) and PhD from the Australian National University (Canberra, 2005). He has developed and applied isotopes in crustal evolution studies, including sedimentary rocks and metalogenesis, in several regions of South America, especially in southeastern Amazonia. He was Scientific Director of the Amazonia Foundation for Studies and Research Support (2011-15) and member of seven regional and national directorates of the Brazilian Society of Geology, including twice National President. He is Professor, Thesis and Dissertation Advisor, CNPq Productivity Fellow and reviewer of articles submitted to national and international scientific journals.

Currently she is Adjunct Professor II of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering, Coordinator of the Mineral Characterization Laboratory (DRX, FRX, FTIR, DSC-TG and BET) and permanent professor of the Graduate Programs in Natural Resources Engineering of the Amazon (PRODERNA) and Geology and Geochemistry (PPGG) at UFPA. He develops researches in the major area of Earth Sciences and Engineering, with emphasis on: Technological Characterization, Applied and Process Mineralogy, Minermetallurgical Processes, Agrominerals & Alternative Fertilizers and Synthesis of Functional Ceramic Materials. She is presenting new proposals for the use of mineral tailings in the production of new materials and in the development-optimization of methods of technological characterization and control in the mineral industry.
